I did my doctoral studies at the Department of Informatics, University of Oslo, between October 2006 and December 2010.
After that I have worked at the same department, first as an independent postdoctoral researcher (financed by the faculty) between 2011 and 2013 and then as a researcher financed through projects between 2014 and 2016.
I have also worked part time (ca.50%) between 2014 and 2017 for the company named TellU IoT, which develops and markets the TelluCloud platform, used in applications for ambient assisted living, hospitals, or security. My position there involved investigating and introducing new technologies in this platform; software development at the core rule-based engine of the platform; and various other development of web-based applications, cloud configurations, etc.
I then moved to the (then) newly created Department of Technology Systems of the University of Oslo, in the Kjeller campus, as senior researcher between 2016 and 2020 working with Josef Noll on various projects related to security.
In 2020 I have moved to NTNU as associate professor.
In 2021 I have become Head of Systems Security group.
Since 2022 I am full professor of security and theoretical computer science.
